What are 'The Ten'?

Updated: Jul 28, 2020

SOURCED wants to engage with people across the global food and drinks industry. We will collate information and experiences to understand how these worlds operate, in a diverse and inclusive way. For this first year we will be asking a range of people the same 10 questions, as well as everyone we interview across our research.

We think this will build up a complex and multifaceted idea of what culinary systems and the people in them look like. This research will be organised into visual presentations that can be used as resources for people who engage with food professionally,

The Ten:

  1. Name and job title

  2. Where were you born, and where do you live now?

  3. how you describe what you do / your job?

  4. How much did you spend on your last cup of coffee?

  5. What is one ingredient that is crucial to your work and/or life?

  6. What does a food and/or drinks system mean to you?

  7. How does your immediate locale / environment affect your work?

  8. Where do you draw inspiration from, in your work?

  9. What impact do you want to have?

  10. What change do you want to see in the food and/or drinks system?

We ask all our interviewees to send us two photos: one that represents themselves and one that represents their work.
